Every handbound volume created at Filia Lux is a unique collaboration between text and craft. To ensure each piece receives the artistic care and attention it deserves I accept a strict maximum of 5 custom commissions per year.

  • Timelines & Care: As an independent artisan and a full-time carer, my hands move at a deliberate, intentional pace. Current turnaround times vary, and commissions are handled in small, limited batches.

Ethical Preservation & Rare Editions disclaimer

While I love breathing new life into worn, beloved volumes, Filia Lux maintains a strict ethical commitment to book preservation. Out of respect for literary history, I do not accept commissions to rebind, alter, or take apart rare, antique, or historically significant first editions. If a volume holds true historical or archival value, I will gently decline the rebind or suggest alternative preservation methods to honor its legacy.
